This concept incorporates a variety of sustainable techniques with the intent of the built site meeting LEED certification requirements (see Appendix for more details about the LEED program). In terms of sustainable site requirements, this design includes areas for bicycle storage and changing rooms, stormwater quality control, and minimizes roof and non-roof heat island effects.

Additionally, the design incorporates water efficiency measures, such as the utilization of greywater to be used in water efficient landscaping, with the intent of reducing the water use for landscaping by 50%.

The indoor environmental quality is enhanced by daylighting the indoor spaces and providing views through and off of the site.
